Proposals for the latest phase of the redevelopment of the Black Haynes Road area of BVT’s Shenley Estate are being developed in conjunction with Associated Architects for an anticipated Planning Application submission in December 2006.
The proposed architectural style of the development is “ informal modern” and the overall design will incorporate the “essential elements” of what makes BVT a special place to live. The concept includes “Homezones” the layout of which gives priority to people over that of vehicles.
Sustainability is a priority and the design of the dwellings will be to“ Ecohomes Excellent “ standards. The construction of the dwellings will allow the opportunity for the incorporation of features such as photovoltaic panels which may assist the scheme to self generate a proportion of its energy requirements.
